This is a traditional gardener's cottage in a beautiful and peaceful setting. The perfect place to slow down, breathe deeply and settle in.
The cottage has a good size kitchen/dining room that is equipped with an electric Aga, fridge freezer and dishwasher - perfect for long, lazy breakfasts and lovely lunches or evening meals (perhaps with local produce from nearby farmers markets). A cosy living room is provided with a wood burning stove, for relaxing in the evening, if there is a chill.
Upstairs are two good-sized bedrooms, both looking to the front of the property and each with a king-sized bed.
A bath/shower room is provided upstairs. A washer and tumble dryer are provided in an outside utility room, which is available for your use.
The spacious garden includes lovely suntraps and decking to capture the sun at different times of the day. Outdoor seating, an outdoor dining table and a BBQ are provided. Being devoid of light pollution, the stars are so much more visible on a clear night.
Private, off-street parking is available for two cars.
Local activities and interest
Newbyth Garden Cottage is suitable for a peaceful countryside stay, with the option of trips to the beach (North Berwick beach - 4m; Seacliff and Tynninghame beaches - 3.5m) by car or bicycle, or playing golf at North Berwick, the Glen or Muirfield golf clubs, or walking and cycling in the East Lothian countryside.
